Backend Engineer We're looking for a Backend Engineer to design and scale backend services for a high-growth media platform. You'll work on distributed systems, real-time streaming, and event-driven architecture that power a high-volume, global user base.What you'll do:Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NestJS and TypeScriptBuild distributed systems within a microservices architecture to support high-volume trafficWork across MySQL, DynamoDB, and Neptune to ensure data integrity and performanceImplement caching strategies with ElastiCache for performance optimizationBuild media compression, transcoding, and streaming solutions using AWS Elemental and Amazon IVSLeverage AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, WAF) to enhance scalability and securityUse Kafka, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, SNS, and SQS for asynchronous, event-driven communicationEnable secure, low-latency, real-time communication via WebSockets and XMPPPartner closely with frontend engineers and product managers to ship seamless user experiencesWhat you bring:8+ years of backend development experience building large-scale applicationsStrong expertise in TypeScript, with proficiency in other languagesSolid experience with NestJS and microservices architectureExtensive experience with MySQL, DynamoDB, and ElasticSearch; graph database experience (Neptune) a plusDeep familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, especially for backend and media applicationsExperience with media streaming, compression, transcoding, or low-latency streaming a plusFamiliarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Kafka, WebSockets, and XMPPStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communicationWhat we offer:Competitive salary and benefitsThe opportunity to work with cutting-edge media technologyA chance to shape the future of digital media and entertainment
