Back End Developer

About the RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB to build and own scalable backend services.The role requires someone who can independently take ownership of features and services—from technical design and development through deployment, debugging and production support.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js.Build and maintain reliable, secure and well-structured REST APIs.Design and optimize data models and queries using MongoDB.Own backend features and services independently from development through production.Work with asynchronous processing, queues and event-driven workflows.Debug and resolve application and production issues.Improve backend performance, reliability and maintainability.Collaborate with frontend, product and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end features.Write clean, reusable and production-ready code.What We’re Looking For3–6 years of relevant backend/software engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB.Solid understanding of backend architecture and API design.Experience with asynchronous programming and background processing.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments.Understanding of database performance, scalability and application reliability.Ability to independently own and deliver backend features/services.Strong engineering fundamentals with an ownership-driven approach.Core SkillsNode.js | Express.js | MongoDB | REST APIs | JavaScript/TypeScript | Backend Architecture | Async Processing | Production DebuggingIdeal ProfileA hands-on backend engineer who can design, build, troubleshoot and independently own production services, rather than someone whose experience is limited to implementing predefined APIs.
