Our platform helps small to mid-sized senior care facilities streamline communication, compliance, and daily operations, allowing caregivers to focus on what truly matters: care.Role SummaryThe Back End Engineer role focuses on building scalable, secure, and efficient server-side systems that power Assistly’s AI-driven senior care platform. You’ll work on the logic, data pipelines, and integrations that enable intelligent workflows for facilities and caregivers.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain server-side services and APIs.Design and implement data models and database structures (SQL/NoSQL).Build integrations with internal systems and third-party applications.Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.Ensure data security and compliance with healthcare standards.Collaborate with AI, product, and front-end teams to enable seamless end-to-end functionality.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Strong coding experience in Python, Java, or Node.js.Experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, Express, or Spring Boot.Understanding of REST APIs, cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), and microservice architecture.Strong grasp of security principles and data protection best practices.
