Backend Developer

About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled PHP Laravel Backend Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building scalable web applications using Laravel, writes clean and maintainable code, and is passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.This position requires excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Candidates who are available to join immediately will be given preference.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimise backend applications using PHP and Laravel.Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs.Integrate third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways.Collaborate with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.Optimise database performance and write efficient SQL queries.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices.Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Work with Git version control and Agile development methodologies.Required QualificationsMinimum 3 years of professional experiencein PHP and Laravel development.Strong knowledge of PHP 8+, latest Laravel framework, and MVC architecture.Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.Strong understanding of REST APIs and API integrations.Experience with authentication, authorisation, and web security best practices.Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis is an advantage.Experience with Docker, AWS, or Linux server environments is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Candidate RequirementsExcellent written and verbal English communication skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.Available to join immediately.Location: Abu Dhabi, UAEEmployment Type: Full-timeExperience Required: at least 3+ YearsJoining: Immediate
