Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index.Job Descriptions: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot framework.Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient backend solutions.Implement and manage databases, ensuring data integrity and security.Develop RESTful APIs to support various front-end and mobile applications.Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain documentation for backend services.Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.Participate in agile development processes and contribute to team improvements.Work closely with product managers and other developers towards the completion of development assigned features.Continuously find ways to improve and optimize the architecture, code, and processes of our Backend applications.The Employee, as per business needs, may be required to undertake any other such duties as may be assigned in line with the employee’s position, skills, and capabilities.The Employee, as per business needs, may be required to undertake any other such duties as may be assigned in line with the employee’s position, skills, and capabilities.Requirements:Minimum 2 years of working experience in a similar roleGood knowledge of design patterns, asynchronous data flows, event driven systemsExperience designing and building high availability, high scalability RESTFul APIsAbility to investigate critical issues of the system, and to propose and implement the solutionGreat team player, also have the ability to work independently with minimum supervisionMust be proficient in English (written and spoken)Experience in development best practices including Agile development, peer code reviews, and unit testingAble to communicate clearly, especially in speaking. Experience / Knowledge in the following area would be a plus point: Mobile payments / m-CommerceCommerce-based applications such as ERP, Accounting, Point of Sale, e-Commerce, Loyalty & Redemption systems, etc.Desired Tech Stack: Java: Proficiency in Java programming, with a strong understanding of object-oriented principles.Spring Boot: Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework for building microservices and web applications.Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).Hibernate/JPA: Knowledge of Hibernate ORM and Java Persistence API for database interaction.Develop and optimize RESTful APIs with proper versioning, validation, and error handling; document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.Manage relational data using MySQL and ECMS databases, ensuring data integrity, optimized queries, and schema design.Integrate caching, messaging, and search capabilities using Redis, Pub/Sub, and Elasticsearch for performance and scalability.Design and deploy cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Storage.Monitor application health, performance, and logs using Grafana, proactively identifying and resolving issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features, perform code reviews, and enforce coding standards.Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability across the application lifecycle.Security: Understanding security principles and practices, including OAuth2 and JWT.Testing: Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.Version Control: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.Build Tools: Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.Containerization: Knowledge of containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is advantageous.Nice to Have: Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).Node.js, Express.js, JavaScriptKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Contribution to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.Having worked on large-scale event-driven applicationsWhy Join Delivery Hero India?At Delivery Hero India, we believe diversity and inclusion are key to creating not only an exciting product, but also an amazing customer and employee experience.
