Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable RESTful APIsUse AI coding tools such as Claude Code daily to write, refactor, debug, and document backend code fasterReview and validate all AI-generated code for correctness, security, and performance before it shipsBuild and support server-side applications and web-based servicesWork with relational databases such as MS SQL Server and MySQL for data storage and management, including using AI tools to write and optimize queries and schema changesUse AI assistance to speed up testing, such as generating unit and integration tests, while owning the quality of the resultsParticipate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from planning to deploymentCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environmentEnsure best practices in coding, testing, and application performanceHelp the team improve AI-assisted workflows by sharing effective prompts, practices, and lessons learnedContribute to continuous improvement in code quality and system architectureRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field2+ years of professional experience in backend developmentHands-on experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) in real project workStrong experience designing and building RESTful APIsExperience with relational databases like MS SQL Server and MySQLStrong fundamentals to judge AI output critically; you must understand the code you ship, not just accept itSolid understanding of the full software development life cycleFamiliarity with agile methodologies and experience working in agile teamsNice to Have:Experience writing effective prompts and project context files (e.g., CLAUDE.md) to guide AI toolsExperience using AI to modernize or migrate legacy code
