Backend engineer
Location: DubaiDuration: 6 months with extensionExperience: 5 YearsRequired:Architect, design, and develop REST and/or GraphQL APIs and microservices that follow industry best practices, using Python FastAPI / Flask) and Node.js (Express.js).Build video-metadata processing and event-driven systems.Design and optimise database schemas across relational and NoSQL stores (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, Redis) for efficient retrieval and storage.Implement message-broker-based pipelines using Kafka or RabbitMQ.Implement authentication and security (JWT, OAuth) and apply API security best practices.Optimise API performance for low latency and high throughput; identify and resolve bottlenecks; implement caching.Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines; containerise with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.Integrate backend services with AI/ML components and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
