You’ll design, build and test complex programs and integration services, contribute to architecture discussions, and develop optimal solutions that enhance user experience while maximising speed, scalability and technical feasibility. Your performance will be measured by cost savings achieved, reduction in productivity loss, processes optimised, defect-free delivery, adherence to policies, procedures and quality standards, and customer NPS.Your key responsibilities Create and communicate multiple design views to identify and balance the concerns of all stakeholders of software design, covering both functional and non-functional requirementsModel or simulate the behaviour of proposed software to enable approval by stakeholders and facilitate effective construction of the softwareDesign, code, verify, test, document, amend and re-factor complex programs/scripts and integration software servicesDefine and manage scoping, requirement definition and prioritisation activities for small-scale changes, and assist with more complex change initiativesFollow agreed standards and apply appropriate techniques to elicit and document detailed requirementsContribute to the selection of an appropriate software development approach, whether predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile)Design test cases and test scripts mapped to pre-determined criteria, clearly recording and reporting outcomesDevelop and maintain specialist knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, design principles, architecture, software and facilitiesDevelop optimal solutions to enhance user experience, optimising for maximum speed, scalability and technical feasibilityParticipate in architecture discussions to gain a detailed understanding of the complete architecture of a product and its functionalitiesBuild reusable code and libraries for future useWhat we’re looking for(a) Required skills / qualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldAt least 2 years of experience in Java Spring Boot and microservices developmentProficiency in working with message queues such as AMQ, RabbitMQ or KafkaProven experience in developing RESTful APIsProficiency in understanding data, entity relationships, structured and unstructured data, and SQL and NoSQL databases; familiarity with Elasticsearch is preferredPractical experience in multithreading and concurrency programmingFamiliarity with Maven, UNIX/Linux and shell scriptingProficient use of Git(b) Preferred skills / qualificationsExperience with process engines such as Activiti, Flowable or CamundaFamiliarity with AWS or Azure cloud servicesA passion for constant improvement and an innovative, creative approach to problem-solvingExcellent communication skillsWhat working at Core42 offers With a diverse team of 1,100+ employees from 68 nationalities, we foster an inclusive, innovative and collaborative environment.
