We’re hiring: Backend Engineer — SaaS Platform Services & API DevelopmentLocation: Dubai, UAEFunction: Technology / Product EngineeringWe are building a scalable, secure, customer-facing SaaS platform for device financing, control, and lifecycle management. We are looking for a hands-on Backend Engineer to help build the server-side foundation of the platform — including APIs, backend services, data models, business workflows, integrations, background jobs, authentication and authorisation, audit trails, observability and production-grade reliability.This is a builder role within Technology / Product Engineering. You will work closely with frontend, mobile, DevOps, architecture, product, and security stakeholders to turn platform workflows into secure, reliable, and maintainable backend services.What you will own:Backend services and API developmentDevice financing, control, and lifecycle-management workflowsSecure API design, validation, error handling, and documentationData models, database migrations, transactions, and data integrityAuthentication, authorisation, tenant isolation, and audit loggingIntegrations with identity, payments, notifications, device management, and partner systemsBackground jobs, scheduled tasks, queues, and event-driven workflowsUnit, integration, and API tests for critical backend servicesBackend observability, logging, metrics, and production diagnosticsService documentation, API contracts, and troubleshooting guidanceWe are looking for someone with hands-on backend engineering experience building production software systems.Relevant experience may include: TypeScript / Node.js, Java / Kotlin, Python, Go, C# / .NET, REST or GraphQL APIs, OpenAPI / Swagger, PostgreSQL or similar databases, Redis, queues or event streaming, Docker, AWS / Azure / GCP, OAuth2 / OIDC, automated testing, observability and production debugging.Experience in SaaS, fintech, telecom, device management, security, lending, payments, regulated platforms, or customer-facing API products would be a strong advantage.This role suits someone who can bring structure without bureaucracy: practical, disciplined, hands-on and comfortable building in an early-stage environment where the platform and engineering practices are still maturing.#BackendEngineer #SoftwareEngineering #APIDevelopment #SaaS #FinTech #Cloud #PlatformEngineering #DubaiJobs #Hiring
