At Methods we have fun while working hard; we are not afraid of making mistakes and learning from them.Predominantly focused on the public-sector, Methods is now building a significant private sector client portfolio.Methods was acquired by the Alten Group in early 2022.RequirementsWe are looking for a Java / Python Developer to help manage, build, develop and design the Java Application with good exposure on springboot, microservices and system designing.What you'll do in the role:Work on developing new and enhancing existing Market Risk applicationsBe part of an Agile squad, following Agile principles and applying DevOps practicesBe able to work with business partners / stakeholdersShape the tooling and technology landscape of Risk Management, by introducing tools enabling better business processes required for meeting Firm's regulatory obligationsWhat you'll bring to the role:6+ hands-on experience with Java, Python, Spring, RDBMSStrong object oriented design and development skills, data-structures and algorithms, and design patternsExcellent analytical abilityStrong experience with relational databases logical modellingStrength in querying large relational databases in an optimized mannerA culture of incorporating unit test cases when designing systems using JunitAbility to write scripts in Shell/Perl/PythonStrong collaboration and communication skills. The candidate will work in a global team where clear and concise communication skills are a must.
