Backend Software Engineer

Lawrence Harvey has been engaged by a well-backed fintech startup building global payments infrastructure across traditional banking and digital asset rails on a position that is critical to the continued development and scale of its core payments platform.They are looking for a Backend Software Engineer who will design, build, and own highly reliable backend services, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure supporting complex payment workflows. This engineer will work across application development, databases, distributed systems, and production infrastructure while owning services end-to-end.The successful candidate will be joining a small, highly technical and fast-moving engineering team and will play a key role in scaling the backend platform, improving system reliability, and solving complex production and architectural problems.This is an opportunity to join an early-stage, well-backed fintech company in a role that offers significant ownership, technical impact, and the ability to help shape critical systems as the business continues to grow.The Ideal Candidate has:• Strong backend software engineering experience, ideally 5+ years, with flexibility for exceptional high-trajectory engineers• Deep TypeScript and Node.js experience with strong database, API, and systems fundamentals• Experience building highly available distributed systems and owning cloud-based production services end-to-end• Experience in payments, fintech, crypto, Solana, stablecoins, or other transaction-heavy environments is a strong plus, especially within a fast-moving, venture-backed startupIf you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
