Backend Software Engineer

About the RoleWe are looking for a Software Engineer to join a growing Digital Solutions team.This role will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications, contributing to the delivery of high-quality digital products. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside product, data, and engineering teams to build reliable and efficient solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services and application features using JavaContribute to the full software development lifecycle (design, implementation, testing, deployment)Ensure solutions meet both functional and performance requirementsApply best practices in coding, testing, and documentationParticipate in code reviews and quality assurance processesContribute to improving system performance and reducing technical debtWork closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver aligned solutionsSupport integration with broader system architecture and platformsContribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the teamProfile & QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field4–6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on JavaStrong proficiency in Java and backend developmentExperience with Spring / Spring Boot (preferred)Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservices architectureFamiliarity with code quality, testing frameworks, and CI/CD toolsGood understanding of application architecture principlesWhy JoinOpportunity to contribute to impactful digital initiativesCollaborative and dynamic working environmentExposure to modern technologies and best engineering practices
