Background Investigator - Active Secret Required

Deliver complete and accurate case file packages to the government that are ready for further adjudicative processing based on applicable handbooks and processing guidesInitiate employees’ Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing(e-QIP) or successor system; ensure submission of fingerprints-Responsible for the receiving, screening, validation and processing of documents and case filesAssist in preparation for security audits and end-of-day procedures, be responsible for the reception area for access control, badging of visitors, mail receipt and delivery and other ancillary duties and projects expected in a professional office environmentEnter all required data into the PERSEC Systems accurately, DCMS-34 estimates annual case requests at approximately 12,000Interact directly with SECCEN customers via telephone and email correspondenceQualificationsAt least 5 years of previous experience adjudicating personnel security background investigations for eligibility and suitability for federal government employmentMust be detailed oriented, have great documentation skills and strong organizational skillsCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook Theoretical and practical project management knowledgeRole requires contractors to be onsite in Chesapeake, VABachelors degree required
