About the RoleSpecialized Enterprise Systems (SES) is hiring a Backup Engineer (L2/L3) at a client site in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise backup and recovery infrastructure within a data center environment. The role ensures the successful protection, retention, recovery, and availability of critical business data while providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister, monitor, and maintain enterprise backup and recovery platforms to ensure successful and reliable data protection operationsPerform L2/L3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis for backup failures, restore issues, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure-related incidentsConfigure and manage backup policies, schedules, retention periods, replication, and archive processes in accordance with business and compliance requirementsExecute and validate backup, restore, and recovery operations for physical servers, virtual machines, databases, applications, and file systemsMonitor daily backup jobs, investigate exceptions, and ensure compliance with backup success rate and SLA targetsImplement and support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity solutions, including backup replication and recovery testingPerform regular backup recovery drills and restore validation tests to ensure data recoverability and operational readinessRequirements5+ years of experience in enterprise backup and recoveryBachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldWilling to relocate to the client site in Saudi Arabia within 2 monthsStandard shifts with 24x7 on-call rotationSkills and TechnologiesVeritas NetBackupCommvaultVeeam Backup & ReplicationDell EMC NetWorkerIBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)Rubrik, CohesityDell Data DomainOracle RMANMicrosoft SQL Server BackupVMware vSphere, Hyper-VTape Libraries, Cloud Backup Solutions (Azure, AWS)Preferred CertificationsVeritas, Commvault, Veeam, Dell EMC, Microsoft
