Ballet Coach

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Ballet Coach to join SportPlex and deliver high-quality ballet training to children and young participants. The coach will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging ballet classes, developing students’ technical skills, flexibility, coordination, musicality, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver structured ballet classes according to students’ age and skill level.Teach ballet fundamentals, including posture, positions, barre work, center exercises, turns, jumps, and choreography.Develop students’ technique, flexibility, balance, coordination, rhythm, and musicality.Create an enjoyable, positive, and encouraging learning environment.Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different abilities and learning levels.Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.Maintain a safe and professional training environment at all times.Ensure proper warm-up and cool-down routines to reduce the risk of injury.Prepare students for performances, showcases, competitions, or special events when required.Communicate professionally with parents regarding students’ progress and class requirements.Maintain attendance records and report any concerns or incidents to management.Collaborate with other coaches and the SportPlex team to support overall program development.Participate in SportPlex events, promotional activities, and community programs when required.Ensure all equipment and studio areas are properly maintained and used safely.RequirementsProven experience as a Ballet Teacher, Ballet Coach, or Dance Instructor.Formal ballet/dance training or relevant professional certification.Strong knowledge of classical ballet techniques and terminology.Experience working with children and/or teenagers is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Patient, energetic, creative, and enthusiastic teaching approach.Ability to work with students of different ages and skill levels.Professional appearance and positive attitude.First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.Key SkillsBallet technique and choreographyChild-focused coachingClass planning and managementCommunication and interpersonal skillsPatience and adaptabilityPerformance preparationTeamwork and professionalism
