The Banker will engage with customers in person to open and service accounts, process transactions, and provide tailored guidance on banking products such as checking, savings, credit cards, personal loans, and mortgages. The role includes assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate financial solutions, and referring clients to specialized teams for complex services such as investments or business banking. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve maintaining accurate records, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards, and supporting branch sales and service goals. The Banker will collaborate with colleagues to ensure an efficient, welcoming branch environment and deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences.Qualifications Customer service and relationship-building skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and respond to diverse client needs.Basic banking, cash handling, and financial product knowledge, with the capacity to learn and explain deposit accounts, loans, and digital banking tools.Sales and cross-selling abilities, including comfort with identifying opportunities, meeting branch goals, and promoting appropriate banking solutions.Attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in processing transactions, documentation, and recordkeeping.Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with sound judgment in addressing customer issues and following compliance and security procedures.Proficiency with computers and banking systems, including use of Microsoft Office and web-based platforms for daily tasks.High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in retail banking, financial services, or customer-facing roles is beneficial.Ability to work on-site during branch hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
