Apply & track with Apply EdgePOSITION PURPOSE:To perform intermediate duties and support related to branch operational activities and financial services.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and bank operational policiesIntermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; including MS Word and ExcelCourteous social skills to welcome visitors in a business environmentStrong math skills; assist with reconciliation of certain accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely mannerAbility to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situationsEffective organizational and time management skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionProficiency in verbal and written communicationExceptional attention to detailExceptional follow-through skillsAdvanced effectiveness under pressureAbility to prioritize and multi-taskAbility to professionally interact with all levels of employee and clientAbility to respect and hold confidential informationEffectively work as a team member and independently as requiredDependable, cooperative, flexible, patientRESPONSIBILITIES:New Accounts:Assist consumer and business customers and lenders in their selection of various accounts, products and financial services available from the Bank.Make decisions regarding the opening of new accounts; assign account numbers; complete forms requiring customer signature(s); verify credit history, if applicable; accept initial deposits; prepare all documents and items pertaining to checking accounts, savings accounts and certificates of deposit for processing. This may include treasury management services (wires, ACH, remote deposit); Order customer checks, endorsement stamps and deposit slips.Set up approved treasury management services on the various systems.Perform safe deposit duties by opening accounts, controlling access, assisting customers and assisting with performing audits as needed.Place appropriate holds when necessary following the regulation guidelines to ensure compliance is met.Provide effective customer service by answering customer questions; ability to investigate and correct errors; and resolves problems or other issues.Operations / Teller:Perform all teller duties to include but not limited to; processing deposits, withdrawals, stop payments, official checks, place appropriate holds of deposits when necessary, balancing teller drawer, transfer of funds, and research. Assist with bank-by-mail deposits.Assist with opening and closing the vault(s) daily, assist in balancing vault currency.Miscellaneous:Answer client questions and direct for assistance.Type routine letters.Adhere to Bank policies, government regulations and legal requirements.Other duties as assigned.Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
