You will assist with room setups, event breakdowns, furniture movement, equipment organization, and maintaining clean and guest-ready event spaces.This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, physically active, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Your Impact - Events & Guest ExperienceYou will help create seamless and memorable events by ensuring banquet spaces are properly set, maintained, and reset according to event specifications. Your work behind the scenes allows the banquet service team to focus on delivering exceptional experiences to our guests.What You'll Be DoingBanquet Setup & BreakdownSet up banquet rooms according to event diagrams, specifications, and standardsArrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, risers, and other event equipmentAssist with setting up meeting rooms, reception areas, and event spacesBreak down and reset event spaces promptly following functionsMove furniture and equipment safely and efficientlyEnsure rooms are properly arranged before guests arriveMake adjustments to room setups as directed by banquet managementEvent SupportSupport banquet servers and supervisors during eventsAssist with delivering and removing tables, chairs, equipment, and suppliesReplenish water stations, service areas, and other banquet supplies as neededAssist with buffet and beverage station setup and breakdownRespond promptly to requests from banquet leadershipHelp ensure event spaces remain clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the functionCleanliness & OrganizationMaintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, storage areas, hallways, and service areasRemove trash, debris, and used equipment from event spacesClean and organize banquet equipment after useReturn tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies to designated storage areasMaintain proper organization of banquet storage roomsReport damaged or missing equipment to managementGuest ExperienceMaintain a professional, friendly, and helpful presence around guestsRespond to guest requests appropriately or direct them to the appropriate team memberHelp maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming event environmentBe attentive to the needs of guests while working throughout event spacesRepresent the M Social brand through professionalism and a positive attitudeTeam CollaborationWork closely with Banquet, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Engineering, and other hotel departmentsCommunicate effectively with banquet supervisors regarding event requirements and operational needsSupport the team during high-volume events and multiple-function daysAssist coworkers wherever needed to ensure successful event executionMaintain a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environmentSafety & ComplianceFollow all hotel safety policies and proceduresUse proper lifting and equipment-handling techniquesFollow RequirementsPrevious banquet, hotel, restaurant, event, or hospitality experience preferredAbility to safely move and arrange banquet furniture and equipmentBasic understanding of banquet room setups preferredAbility to read and follow setup diagrams and written instructionsFood Handler Card required or ability to obtain upon hire, as applicableAbility to safely operate basic banquet equipment after appropriate trainingPreferred QualificationsPrevious Banquet Houseman, Banquet Server, Houseman, or similar experiencePrevious hotel or event venue experience preferredExperience setting up meetings, conferences, weddings, and social eventsFamiliarity with banquet equipment and different room configurationsBilingual abilities are a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftFrequently lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to push and pull banquet carts, tables, chairs, and equipmentAbility to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as neededAbility to safely move furniture and equipment throughout the propertyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periodsAbility to work both indoors and outdoors as
