About the roleYou teach barbering theory and supervise students on the clinic floor, preparing them for the Florida licensure exam and for real work behind the chair. Our Barber Stylist program runs 900 hours.What you'll doDeliver theory instruction following the approved program curriculumSupervise students performing services on clients on the clinic floorDemonstrate cutting, shaving, fading, styling, and sanitation techniqueEvaluate practical work and keep accurate records of hours, attendance, and progressPrepare students for the Florida state board examinationEnforce sanitation, safety, and professional conduct standardsContact students who miss class to understand why and help them get back on trackWhat we're looking forActive Florida barbering license in good standing — and any instructor credential Florida requires to teach in a licensed school[At least 3 years of professional barbering experiencePatience and the ability to explain technique to students at very different skill levelsDependable attendance and professional presentationNice to havePrior teaching, mentoring, or apprentice supervision experienceBilingual English/SpanishCompensation: $23.00–$25.00/hr.
