Barista

As Barista at Reid's Palace, a Belmond Hotel, Madeira, you will support the daily operation by preparing coffee, beverages and other products according to established recipes and quality standards, while providing attentive and personalized service to guests. The Barista contributes to a welcoming and efficient environment, applying the LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) standards through genuine hospitality, attention to detail and consistent service.The main responsibility are:Prepare espresso-based beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, macchiato, americano teas, hot chocolate, iced coffees and other non-alcoholic beverages according to the café's menu and established standards.Apply correct coffee dosage, grinding, extraction, temperature and presentation requirements under the guidance of the Head Barista.Maintain consistency in beverage preparation during different levels of service volume and operational needsWelcome and acknowledge guests promptly, provide attentive, personalised service throughout each interaction.Provide accurate information about coffee, beverages, ingredients and preparation methods and make suitable recommendations based on guest preferencesDeliver guest service in accordance with service standardsWork collaboratively with the service team to ensure consistent serviceRequirementsWhat you bring: Experience working in a similar role knowledge of coffee preparation, coffee origins, varieties, roasting, extraction, latte art and beverage preparation methods Guest focus mindset Attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, proper presentation, and adherence to recipe Creativity and innovation Motivating and collaborative Responsibility and accountability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Teamwork and collaboration Very good level of spoken English.
