The hotel values reliability, respect, and service excellence in all roles.Role Description The Barista role at Kuwait Grand Hotel is a full-time, on-site position based in Kuwait. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages, following hotel standards and recipes. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, restocking supplies, and ensuring high levels of hygiene and safety. The Barista will interact directly with guests, take orders, provide product recommendations, and handle payments in a courteous and efficient manner. The role also involves collaborating with other food and beverage team members to support smooth service during busy periods and special events.QualificationsExperience in beverage preparation, including espresso-based drinks, coffee brewing methods, and basic latte art or drink presentation.Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, and ability to maintain a clean, organized work area.Customer service skills, including professional communication, active listening, and a friendly, guest-focused attitude.Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems or similar payment platforms.Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple orders efficiently.Previous experience in a café, hotel, or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.Conversational English skills; additional language abilities, including Arabic, are an advantage.Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
