Team members join a culture that values creativity, quality, and thoughtful hospitality.We are looking for a Head Barista & Store Incharge to be the operational heartbeat of our front-of-house and the anchor of our beverage program.At Barefolk, a barista is an extension of our lab. You will execute high-quality specialty coffee and collaborate with the kitchen . As the Store Incharge, this is a leadership role. You will take full ownership of the floor, managing daily operations, inventory, and the front-of-house team to ensure our hygiene and hospitality standards remain flawless.Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage Execution: Expertly dial in espresso, manage extraction, texturize milk, and consistently prepare high-quality specialty coffee and unique house beverages.Operational Leadership: Manage daily opening and closing protocols, handle POS operations, and execute accurate cash reconciliation and daily reporting.Inventory & Stock Management: Track and manage inventory for coffee, beverage supplies, and FOH essentials. Coordinate with vendors and ensure we never run low on critical items.Guest Experience & Storytelling: Welcome guests with warmth and confidently guide them through our fermentation-led food and beverage offerings, translating complex lab techniques into an approachable dining experience.Radical Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and lab teams to test, prep, and integrate new seasonal ingredients and ferments. Support basic food prep and plating when necessary.Hygiene & Standards: Maintain a pristine, highly organized working environment, strictly adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 2+ years of experience as a barista in a specialty coffee environment, plus prior experience in a supervisory role.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of espresso extraction, brewing variables, and high-end coffee equipment maintenance.Operational Proficiency: Strong grasp of inventory management, POS systems, and general cafe/restaurant operations.Mindset: A genuine curiosity for flavor, fermentation, and continuous learning. You don't need to be a scientist, but you must be eager to learn.Communication: Clear, professional, and warm.
