Our Rome location, Run by Nuns, reflects these values, offering a distinctive environment for both guests and team members.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based in Rome. The Barista prepares and serves specialty coffee and other beverages, maintains high standards of drink quality, and manages food preparation for pastries or light bites as needed. The role includes welcoming guests, taking orders, handling payments, and providing attentive, friendly customer service that reflects our focus on sensory, place-rooted hospitality. The Barista keeps the café area clean and organized, restocks supplies, and follows health and safety guidelines. Collaboration with colleagues to support smooth service, contribute to a warm atmosphere, and uphold the brand’s standards is a key part of day-to-day work.QualificationsBarista skills, including espresso preparation, drink crafting, and basic coffee equipment careCustomer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create welcoming, attentive guest experiencesStrong Communication skills for clear, courteous interaction with guests and colleaguesFood Preparation skills and attention to hygiene and safety standardsAbility to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced hospitality environmentReliability, punctuality, and a collaborative approach to working with a small teamPrevious café, bar, or hospitality experience preferredComfort working in an international environmentItalian and English language skills are an advantageExperience with POS systems and cash handlingAvailability to work evenings and weekendsThe stamina and composure to perform well during busy servicesReliability, punctuality, organisation, and a collaborative approachNice to have Experience in a high-end hotel, restaurant, or fine-dining environmentCocktail and bar-service experienceExperience in a high-volume service environmentAdditional languagesWe’re building a thoughtful, ambitious hospitality business with high standards and a close-knit team.
