This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food and beverage industry while working in a lively cafe setting at one of our 4 locations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks with precision and care.Operate POS systems such as Square POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, order processing, and cash handling.Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by handling food properly, preparing simple food items, and adhering to health regulations.Manage cash register operations including cashiering duties, basic math calculations, and accurate cash handling.Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling food items and maintaining inventory levels.Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and multitasking efficiently to keep service smooth.QualificationsPrior barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred but not required.Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS is advantageous.Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.Ability to handle cash accurately and perform retail math confidently.Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and basic health regulations.Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.Experience in food service or café environments is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.Basic math skills for transactions, sales tracking, and inventory management.
