The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, as well as light food items according to cafe standards. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the point-of-sale system, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. The role involves following food safety and hygiene guidelines, restocking supplies, and assisting with opening and closing duties. The Barista works closely with other team members to ensure consistent quality, timely service, and a welcoming experience for every guest.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage courteously with guests and collaborate effectively with colleagues.Candidates should possess Barista skills, including basic coffee brewing knowledge and familiarity with espresso-based beverages or a willingness to learn.Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to take orders accurately, share information with the team, and respond professionally to guest inquiries.Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills and an understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a café or hospitality environment, ability to stand for extended periods, basic math skills for handling cash, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
