The Barista prepares and serves a range of coffee and other beverages, following Surge’s recipes and standards for quality, presentation, and speed of service. Daily tasks include operating espresso machines and brewing equipment, handling basic food preparation, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and restocking supplies. The role involves welcoming guests, taking orders accurately, processing payments, and resolving customer inquiries or issues in a professional manner. The Barista works closely with the team to ensure smooth operations, adherence to hygiene and safety guidelines, and an excellent overall experience for every guest.Qualifications Strong customer-facing capabilities, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills.Clear and professional Communication skills when interacting with guests and team members.Hands-on Barista skills, including experience with espresso machines, brewing methods, and beverage preparation.Basic Food Preparation skills and knowledge of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.Prior experience in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment is preferred.Ability to stand for extended periods, work shifts, and handle a fast-paced service environment.Attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.Basic numeracy for handling cash and POS systems; conversational English required, additional languages are a plus.
