Staff are encouraged to grow their skills and contribute to a welcoming, community-oriented space.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based in Bucharest. The Barista prepares espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and other beverages according to Buono Coffee Academy standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail. Daily tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, providing recommendations, and delivering friendly, efficient customer service at the counter. The role also involves handling cash and card payments, maintaining a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies, and following food safety and hygiene procedures. The Barista may support training activities, share basic coffee knowledge with guests, and collaborate with the team to create a positive, professional café environment.Qualifications Coffee preparation skills, including Barista experience and familiarity with espresso machines and basic Food Preparation practices.Strong Customer Service capabilities, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and handling feedback professionally.Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills to interact clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards; prior café or hospitality experience is an advantage.Willingness to learn, take direction, and participate in ongoing coffee training offered by the academy.Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
