The café offers a modern twist on Asian comfort food in a warm and inviting environment.Role Description The Barista role at BUNS N KARAK is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty karak and teas, as well as supporting the preparation of café snacks and light food items. Day-to-day tasks include taking customer orders, handling the POS system, maintaining cleanliness of the coffee and tea stations, and ensuring products are presented consistently according to café standards. The Barista will engage with guests, answer menu questions, and provide courteous, efficient service during peak hours. The role also involves restocking supplies, following hygiene and safety guidelines, and collaborating with the team to deliver a smooth and enjoyable experience for every guest.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to interact positively with guests and colleagues.Candidates should possess Barista skills, including beverage preparation, basic coffee and tea knowledge, and drink presentation.Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to take orders accurately and coordinate with the kitchen and service teams.Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills for snacks and simple dishes while following hygiene and safety standards.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior café or restaurant experience, ability to stand for extended periods, basic math skills for cash handling, and proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
