His warm hospitality and gift for bringing people together guide everything we do. We want our shop to feel like a true neighborhood spot, a place where guests can connect and feel at home over a simple bagel.Our approach is “Nothing Fancy”: give guests exactly what they want, made with care. Our menu is built around classic New York–style bagels that are kosher, hand-rolled, kettle-boiled, and baked fresh every day.The RoleAs a Barista at Leon’s Bagels, you’ll make and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages, and help with bagel and food prep throughout the day. You’ll greet guests, take orders, handle payments, and make sure every guest gets fast, accurate, friendly service.What you’ll do:Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beveragesSupport bagel and food prep throughout the dayGreet guests, take orders, and process paymentsKeep third-party delivery orders (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.) organized and ready on timeKeep your workstation clean, organized, and stockedFollow food safety and hygiene standardsHelp with opening and closing duties as neededWork with the team to keep service smooth during busy rushesWhat We’re Looking ForStrong customer service and communication skills, with a genuine love of making people feel welcomeBarista experience or familiarity with coffee and espresso drinks, and comfort with café equipmentFood prep skills, including basic knife skills, assembling menu items, and following food safety and sanitation standardsReliability and punctuality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentA commitment to an inclusive, respectful workplace and to treating every guest with careCafé, bakery, or hospitality experience is a plus but not required.
