The Barista will prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and adherence to food safety standards. Daily tasks include operating espresso machines and related equipment, managing ingredient stocks, and maintaining a clean and organized bar and guest seating area. The role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, handling payments, and providing friendly, efficient customer service that reflects the hotel’s unique brand identity. The Barista will collaborate with the F&B team to support overall service operations, contribute to menu and beverage ideas, and assist with basic food preparation as needed.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage guests, handle requests, and create a welcoming atmosphere.Hands-on Barista experience, including beverage preparation, coffee equipment operation, and basic coffee knowledge.Effective Communication skills for coordinating with team members, understanding guest needs, and following service standards.Food Preparation awareness, including basic food handling, hygiene, and safety practices.Previous experience in hospitality, cafés, or restaurants is an advantage.Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and service quality.Interest in design-led, contemporary hospitality and willingness to represent the Otherland brand in guest interactions.
