The pub emphasizes reliability, professionalism, and teamwork to deliver a welcoming experience for every guest.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Seef for a Barmate / Bartender / Waitstaff team member at Irish Corner Pub. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive guest experience throughout their visit. Daily tasks include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, handling cash and card payments, maintaining bar and table cleanliness, and restocking supplies. The team member will follow safety and hygiene standards, support colleagues during busy periods, and contribute to a friendly, efficient work environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required, depending on business needs.Qualifications Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive guest experience.Effective Communication skills to interact clearly with guests, colleagues, and management, including listening and problem-solving abilities.Foundational Food & Beverage knowledge, including bar service, basic drink preparation, and familiarity with pub-style menus.Reliable Cash Handling skills, including accurate use of POS systems, managing payments, and following cash reconciliation procedures.Practical Bartending skills, with attention to responsible alcohol service and adherence to local regulations.Ability to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.Prior experience in a bar, pub, or restaurant setting is preferred but not strictly required; on-the-job training may be provided.Basic proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
