By bringing together engineering, product, and business expertise, we aim to accelerate the development of high-performance electric mobility solutions.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Battery System Development Engineer / EV Powertrain Lead to support the design, development, integration, and optimization of battery systems and electric vehicle powertrain technologies.The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical product-development experience. This role will contribute to battery architecture, powertrain integration, system performance, validation, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making across the EV development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead or support the development of battery systems and EV powertrain architectures.Define system requirements, technical specifications, interfaces, and performance targets.Support battery pack, cell, module, BMS, inverter, motor, and vehicle-level system integration.Analyze battery performance, energy efficiency, thermal behavior, power delivery, and system reliability.Coordinate engineering activities across electrical, mechanical, software, controls, thermal, and vehicle teams.Support battery management system requirements, control strategies, diagnostics, and system optimization.Develop and review engineering specifications, technical documentation, design requirements, and system reports.Plan and coordinate component, subsystem, and vehicle-level testing and validation.Analyze test results and identify performance gaps, technical risks, and potential design improvements.Investigate engineering issues, root causes, failures, and system-level performance problems.Support thermal management strategies for battery and powertrain systems.Evaluate component selections, technical trade-offs, performance requirements, and engineering risks.Coordinate with suppliers and external engineering partners on technical requirements and development activities.Monitor development milestones, technical deliverables, engineering changes, and project risks.Support compliance with relevant automotive safety, quality, reliability, and engineering standards.Provide technical recommendations to engineering leadership and contribute to continuous product improvement.Requirements3+ years of relevant professional experience in battery systems, EV powertrains, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields preferred.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery systems, BMS, electric motors, inverters, power electronics, and EV architectures.Experience with system engineering, component integration, testing, validation, or vehicle-level development.Understanding of battery performance, thermal management, energy efficiency, charging, and power-delivery concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to investigate complex engineering issues.Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and technical stakeholders.Familiarity with engineering tools, simulation platforms, testing equipment, data analysis, or automotive development processes.Strong technical documentation and communication skills.Ability to work independently and effectively within a distributed international engineering team.Professional engineering certifications are not required unless specifically relevant to the role.What We OfferFully remote, part-time working arrangement with flexibility.Opportunity to contribute to advanced EV and battery technology development.Exposure to electric mobility, energy systems, powertrain integration, and emerging automotive technologies.Collaborative environment connecting multidisciplinary engineering expertise.Access to modern engineering, simulation, testing, and data-analysis tools.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and technical responsibilities.Professional growth and opportunities for broader technical and engineering leadership.A forward-looking role contributing to the development of cleaner, smarter, and more efficient mobility solutions.
