BD Manager, Business Development, CRO Services

Job Summary:This Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and building new customer relationships to deliver year over year new customer acquisition and pipeline opportunity growth target for Wuxi Biologics Research Services. The role will focus on generating new business through proactive outreaching and close collaboration with marketing team.Essential Job Functions:Generate new business from new customers through high level of customer outreach and contact including cold calling, customer visits and extensive networking activities with minimal supervision. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in antibody discovery and protein production. Effectively promote Wuxi’s technical capabilities and specialties. Provide solution based consultative selling to meet customer needs.Maintain existing customers through trust based relationships and high quality customer support.Collaborate with marketing, project managers and production team to develop strategies that promote customer acquisition and retention.Collect market intelligence with information gathering and trend analysis on the industry, pricing, and competition.Collect, analyze and track competitors’ information and business move, help make departmental strategic plan.Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

BA/BS degree required, advanced degree in science or commensurate experience is preferred (e.g. PhD, MBA)Strong problem solving skillsExperience as manager in sales or business development is a plusFamiliar with the antibody drug discovery and/or protein purificationExcellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with customers and key stakeholders, good conflict management skillsDemonstrate ability to translate strategy into action;Strong influence, negotiation, and presentation skills.High energy level with strong drive to constantly improving; self-motivated.Strong team playerAbility to travel
