Beach Cleaning Supervisor

Job Purpose:The Beach Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily beach cleaning operations, ensuring that designated beach areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and environmental sustainability. The role involves supervising cleaning teams, coordinating resources, monitoring compliance with municipal and environmental regulations, and ensuring a clean and pleasant experience for beach visitors. The position includes supervision of manual and mechanized cleaning activities, waste management, and shoreline maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Operational ManagementSupervise day-to-day beach cleaning operations across assigned locations.Ensure beaches, shoreline areas, promenades, pathways, and public amenities are maintained in a clean and safe condition.Monitor and coordinate manual and mechanical beach cleaning activities.Conduct routine inspections to ensure service quality and adherence to contractual KPIs.Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to achieve operational objectives.Ensure timely removal and disposal of litter, debris, seaweed, and other waste materials.Team SupervisionLead, motivate, and supervise beach cleaning operatives and team leaders.Prepare daily work schedules, duty allocations, and shift assignments.Monitor productivity and performance of team members.Provide on-the-job training regarding cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and environmental practices.Maintain attendance, leave records, and workforce deployment reports.Health, Safety & Environmental ComplianceEnsure compliance with company HSE policies and local environmental regulations.Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly.Identify and report hazardous conditions, spills, pollution incidents, or unsafe practices.Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work procedures.Promote environmental conservation and sustainable waste management practices.Quality Assurance & ReportingPerform regular quality inspections and audits.Address client concerns and public complaints promptly and professionally.Maintain operational records, inspection reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs.Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management review.Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality.Stakeholder ManagementLiaise with municipal authorities, beach management teams, and FM management as required.Support special events, emergency clean-up operations, and environmental campaigns.Assist in implementing customer satisfaction initiatives and service enhancement programs.Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Environmental Sciences, Operations Management, or related field.Certification in Occupational Health & Safety is preferred.Experience:Minimum 4-6 years of experience in cleaning operations, environmental services, waste management, or facilities management.At least 2 years of supervisory experience managing large cleaning teams.Experience in beach cleaning, public area maintenance, landscaping, or municipal services is highly desirable.
