Team members join a mission-driven organization that strives to be a source of hope for those it serves.Role Description The Behavioral Health Consultant – Psychologist is a full-time, on-site role based in San Antonio, TX. This position provides evidence-based psychological services, including assessment, brief interventions, and ongoing counseling to individuals with mental health and co-occurring conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting psychological evaluations, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, and developing individualized treatment plans. The consultant offers clinical guidance to staff, participates in case consultations, and ensures that care aligns with best practices and regulatory standards. The role also involves documenting services in a timely and accurate manner, contributing to program development, and supporting outreach and education initiatives that promote recovery and wellness.Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Psychology and Counseling Psychology to provide assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.Proficiency in Psychological Testing, including selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized measures.Strong background in Mental Health, including experience with diverse diagnoses, co-occurring conditions, and trauma-informed care.Experience in Clinical Supervision, including mentoring, training, and supporting multidisciplinary team members in clinical practice.Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited program; licensure or license eligibility as a Psychologist in the state of Texas.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and care teams.Ability to work effectively in fast-paced community behavioral health settings and manage a varied caseload.Commitment to cultural humility, ethical practice, and non-discriminatory, trauma-informed, recovery-focused care.Experience in community mental health, integrated care, or working with individuals with substance use and developmental disabilities is preferred.
