Manchester School District offers opportunities for professional development and encourages innovative approaches to student success.Role Description The Behavioral Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Manchester, NH, working directly with students, educators, and families to support positive behavior and emotional well-being. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting behavioral assessments, developing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, and monitoring student progress. The role involves providing direct therapeutic support to students, coaching school staff on evidence-based behavioral strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate behavioral supports into classroom and school-wide practices. The Behavioral Therapist also documents interventions and outcomes, participates in meetings and trainings, and contributes to a supportive, inclusive school climate.Qualifications Strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis, with the ability to design and implement behavior intervention plans.Background in Psychology and Working With Children, particularly in educational or clinical settings.Excellent Interpersonal Skills to build effective relationships with students, families, and school staff.Relevant certification or licensure (e.g., BCBA, LBA, or equivalent) preferred; willingness to pursue additional credentials as required.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or a related field.Experience in school-based or pediatric behavioral therapy settings is highly beneficial.Ability to collect and interpret behavioral data, maintain accurate records, and use information to guide interventions.Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices in working with diverse student populations.
