JOB DESCRIPTION (JD) – BENDING OPERATORPosition DetailsJob Title: Bending Operator (Press Brake/CNC Bending Operator)Department: Production – FabricationReporting To: Production Supervisor / Production ManagerLocation: AR IndustriesEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryThe Bending Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC/Hydraulic Press Brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components as per engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards. The role requires ensuring dimensional accuracy, maintaining machine efficiency, and following all safety procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC/Hydraulic Press Brake and sheet metal bending machines.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.Select appropriate punches, dies, and tooling for different bending operations.Set machine parameters including bend angle, pressure, back gauge, and stroke.Produce components as per approved drawings and customer specifications.Inspect first-off and in-process parts using measuring instruments.Ensure all finished products meet dimensional and quality requirements.Report any machine abnormalities or production issues immediately.Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance of machines.Minimize material wastage and improve productivity.Maintain production records, machine logs, and daily output reports.Follow 5S, safety rules, and PPE requirements.Coordinate with Quality, Planning, and Welding departments to achieve production targets.Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished components.Comply with company policies, ISO procedures, and work instructions.Required QualificationsITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.1–5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or press brake operation.Freshers with technical knowledge may also be considered.Technical Skills
