Bid & Procurement Manager

We are looking for a Bid Procurement Manager to support defence and C&I programmes, working closely with Business Development, Programme, Finance and Bid teams.You will help shape supply chain strategies for bids, identify and engage suppliers, and ensure the supply base can support both current requirements and future programmes.This is a fast-paced role where you will have a strong influence on supplier strategy, commercial value and winning new business.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships.Work with Business Development to develop supply chain strategies for bids.Identify, engage and select suitable suppliers.Lead supplier engagement throughout the bid process.Support contract development and implementation.Contribute to bid planning, reporting and governance.Promote social value and responsible sourcing.RequirementsExperience supporting bids or proposals, ideally within defence, engineering or regulated environments.Strong supplier management and relationship-building experience.Proven negotiation skills and commercial awareness.Good understanding of contract law and procurement principles.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.DesirableCIPS Level 5 or working towards it.WorldCC or similar commercial qualification.Knowledge of ITAR, EAR or international trade compliance.Security ClearanceUK citizenship is required.You must be able to obtain and maintain UK Government SC security clearance.BenefitsFlexible working optionsCompressed fortnight optionPrivate healthcareCash health planHoliday buy and sell schemeCareer development and progressionPerformance-based bonus
