Billing Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to support accurate invoicing and receivables activity for a consumer products organization in Melville, New York. This role is ideal for someone who can balance analytical work with responsive service, ensuring billing records are maintained correctly and customer account questions are resolved efficiently. The successful candidate will contribute to smooth financial operations by managing billing workflows, supporting collections activity, and working across systems such as NetSuite and other billing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Monitor accounts receivable activity, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Investigate billing issues by partnering with internal teams and customers to achieve prompt resolution.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and update billing data within NetSuite and related systems.
• Support reporting on invoicing, receivables status, payment trends, and account activity.
• Respond to customer inquiries with a high level of professionalism and service-minded communication.
• Assist with export-related customer service matters tied to billing documentation and account coordination.
• Participate in billing process improvements and provide operational support for system-related billing tasks when needed.
• 3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a closely related finance function.
• Hands-on experience managing billing activities and resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes, reconciliations, and payment follow-up.
• Experience using NetSuite; familiarity with additional billing platforms is an advantage.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and standard financial reporting tools.
