We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Billing Specialist to manage end-to-end subscription billing, accounts receivable, and customer account maintenance for a growing North American information platform. In this 100% remote role, you will oversee recurring invoicing, contract term verification, deferred revenue support, and subscription access provisioning. You will serve as a vital link between finance, sales, and customer success teams to deliver accurate billing, healthy collections, and seamless client experiences. Your ImpactSubscription Billing & Invoicing: Generate and process recurring monthly/annual subscription invoices, renewals, upgrades, and add-ons, verifying pricing, discounts, taxes, and contract terms.Accounts Receivable & Collections: Monitor aging balances, send professional payment reminders, resolve customer billing inquiries, apply incoming payments, and perform account reconciliations.Customer Account Administration: Maintain customer master files, process approved refunds or adjustments, and enable or disable subscription access through platform tools like MultiPub.Financial & Audit Support: Reconcile billing reports against general ledger accounting records, support month-end close for deferred revenue and AR, and provide documentation for internal/external audits.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to ensure smooth handoffs from contract signing to invoicing while driving process improvement initiatives. What You BringThe Experience: 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or subscription administration experience, ideally within a SaaS, subscription, publishing, or recurring revenue environment.Credentials & Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Software & Systems Competency: Experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO), Google Workspace, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data reconciliation). Exposure to MultiPub (or similar subscription management tools) and CRM platforms like Pipedrive is a strong plus.Technical Mastery: Solid understanding of subscription renewal cycles, accounts receivable workflows, collections best practices, and revenue reconciliation concepts.Communication & Operational Skills: Professional written and verbal English communication skills, high numeric accuracy, exceptional organizational habits, and strong problem-solving abilities.
