This fully remote position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with law firm billing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with attorneys, clients, and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely billing.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, edit, and finalize attorney billing statements on a monthly and ad hoc basis.Process prebills and make billing adjustments, write-offs, transfers, and rate modifications as needed.Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and outside counsel requirements.Submit invoices through various e-billing platforms and resolve invoice rejections or billing discrepancies.Work closely with attorneys and legal staff to review billing activity, WIP balances, and client billing preferences.Monitor aged WIP and accounts receivable, assisting with collections efforts when necessary.Maintain accurate matter, client, and billing information within the firm's financial management system.Generate billing reports and assist with month-end billing and accounting processes.Respond promptly to attorney and client inquiries regarding invoices, payment status, and billing procedures.Qualifications3+ years of legal billing experience within a law firm or professional services environment.Strong understanding of legal billing practices, client guidelines, and e-billing systems.Experience with legal accounting and billing software such as Aderant, Elite, SurePoint, Juris, or similar platforms preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.Additional Information:Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
