"SEARCH" - Current OpeningsPosition InformationSEARCH has immediate opening for a Full-Time Billing Specialist to join our accounting team. The position can be remote, hybrid, or office going depending on candidate preference and location.SEARCH provides a flexible work environment, a professional and collaborative atmosphere, and a wide range of projects and opportunities for our staff. Pay is commensurate with education and experience.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate and issue customer invoices accurately and on scheduleReview billing data for completeness and resolve discrepancies before processingMaintain billing recordsMonitor aging reports and support collections efforts as neededRespond to internal and external inquiries related to billing and account statusCollaborate with Project Controllers to ensure correct billable informationAssist with month-end closing activities related to revenue and billingIdentify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practicesOther duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications RequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Will accept Associates with two years' work experienceStrong understanding of billing workflows, invoicing, and basic accounting principlesExperience with Cost Point Deltek (not required but preferred)Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentIntermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, data validation helpful)Application RequirementsCover letterResumeReferencesOther Important Need-to-Know InformationThis position will require flexible availability outside of standard working hoursApplicants must be eligible to be employed in the United States on federally contracted projects.
