BIM Coordinator

Location: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaCompany: AECO Contracting CompanyEmployment Type: Full-TimeAECO is looking for an experienced and technically strong BIM Coordinator – Civil & Structural to join our engineering and BIM team.The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating Civil and Structural BIM models, supporting multidisciplinary coordination, clash detection, construction documentation, and ensuring that BIM deliverables comply with project requirements, approved standards, and execution plans.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, review, coordinate, and maintain Civil and Structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit and related BIM platforms.Coordinate Structural and Civil models with Architectural, MEP, Infrastructure, and other disciplines.Perform regular clash detection and model coordination using Autodesk Navisworks.Review and resolve model clashes, design inconsistencies, constructability issues, and interface conflicts.Ensure models comply with the approved BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), project standards, LOD/LOI requirements, and BIM protocols.Coordinate structural elements including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining structures, steel structures, and other structural systems.Coordinate civil works including grading, roads, underground utilities, drainage, external works, and site interfaces where applicable.Produce and review shop drawings, coordinated drawings, sections, details, schedules, and construction documentation directly from BIM models.Support the preparation and maintenance of federated models.Manage model exchanges and coordination through the project Common Data Environment (CDE).Monitor BIM model quality, naming conventions, coordinates, worksets, parameters, and information consistency.Conduct model audits and ensure compliance with established BIM standards.Participate in BIM coordination meetings and prepare/track clash reports, coordination issues, and action logs.Coordinate closely with engineering, technical office, site construction, subcontractors, consultants, and client BIM teams.Review subcontractor and supplier BIM models and ensure compatibility with the project federated model.Support 4D BIM / construction sequencing activities when required.Assist with quantities and model-based information required for 5D / cost coordination where applicable.Update models based on approved RFIs, design changes, technical submissions, and site conditions.Support preparation of as-built BIM models and final digital handover documentation.Assist the BIM Manager in implementing and continuously improving BIM workflows, standards, templates, and coordination procedures.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including strong experience in BIM coordination.Proven experience on large-scale construction projects, preferably including Data Centers, Industrial, Commercial, Infrastructure, or Mission-Critical projects.Advanced proficiency in:Autodesk RevitAutodesk Navisworks ManageAutoCADAutodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360Good understanding of multidisciplinary BIM coordination and federated model management.Strong knowledge of Civil and Structural construction methodologies and detailing.Familiarity with ISO 19650 BIM information management principles is highly preferred.Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, model auditing, clash detection, and CDE workflows.Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and construction documents.Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.Ability to work effectively with design, technical office, site, consultant, client, and subcontractor teams.Preferred SkillsExperience with Dynamo, Civil 3D, Revit Structure, Synchro, or other 4D BIM platforms will be an advantage.Previous experience in Data Center projects and highly coordinated Civil / Structural environments will be strongly preferred.
