Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe BIM Modeller is responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for construction projects within the contracting company. They collaborate with project teams to develop accurate and detailed digital representations of buildings and infrastructure.BIM Model Development:Generate 3D BIM models using software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or Tekla Structures based on architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.Ensure BIM models accurately reflect design intent, incorporating relevant building components, systems, and materials.Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate discipline-specific information into the BIM model, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements.Clash Detection and Coordination:Conduct clash detection analysis within the BIM model to identify and resolve conflicts between different building systems and components.Coordinate with project stakeholders to address clash resolutions and implement design changes as necessary.Generate clash detection reports and coordinate meetings to review and resolve clashes with project teams.Model Management and Documentation:Maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, updating and revising models to reflect design changes, RFIs, and field modifications.Ensure BIM models comply with industry standards and company BIM protocols, including file naming conventions, layer management, and model organization.Generate 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models as required for construction documentation and coordination purposes.Primary Deliverables: Precise and On Time submission of any type of documents/reports/data.Complete tasks efficiently and stay within budget as part of your job responsibilitiesProvide input to other departments or parties as needed on time. Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop BIM execution plans and project-specific BIM workflows.Participate in BIM coordination meetings and reviews to ensure alignment between design disciplines and construction requirements.Provide training and support to project team members on BIM software and processes.Perform quality control checks on BIM models to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.Assist in the implementation of BIM technologies and best practices to enhance project efficiency and productivity.General Responsibilities:Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, conflict of interest, standards, rules and regulations at all times.Always prioritize keeping employee information and sensitive data confidentialPrioritize and ensure full compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies established by the company.Accurate and On Time submissions of balanced scorecards. Maintain supportive documentation to substantiate the actual performance for all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).Skills:Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of building construction methods, materials, and systems.Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols such as COBie, IFC, and LOD.Ability to create and manipulate complex 3D models with attention to detail and accuracy.Familiarity with clash detection and coordination tools such as Navisworks or Solibri.Proficiency in generating 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams.Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve BIM-related issues and conflicts.Time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines and deliverables.Education & Experience:Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in BIM modelling within the construction industry.Experience working on complex building projects with multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with BIM coordination processes and workflows.Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
