BIM Modeller (Electrical)

Role Description The BIM Modeler (Electrical) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This role involves creating and updating detailed BIM models for electrical systems, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration with architecture, structure, and MEP designs. The BIM Modeler will translate construction drawings and design specifications into accurate 3D models, perform clash detection and resolution, and maintain model standards and documentation. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineers and project managers, supporting design reviews, and preparing model outputs and drawings for construction and installation. The role requires consistent adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and local codes and regulations.QualificationsStrong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes, specifically for electrical systems.Experience working with Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination and multidisciplinary project teams.Ability to interpret and develop detailed Construction Drawings into accurate 3D models.Understanding of Architecture and building services to ensure proper integration of electrical designs.Demonstrated experience as a BIM Modeler or similar role in construction, engineering, or consulting environments.Familiarity with relevant BIM standards, local building codes, and best practices in electrical design.Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks or similar BIM tools).Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and multicultural teams.Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field; professional certifications in BIM are an advantage.
