They manage a highly diversified portfolio spanning grains, oilseeds, animal feed and specialized food ingredients. In line with evolving market demands, the company has recently scaled into modern food science sectors. Driven by this ongoing global growth strategy, the company is expanding its interest in biofuel, and is actively seeking high-caliber talent to join them. They are seeking a proven and experienced agricultural derivative trader for this exciting opportunity as Biofuel Trading Manager in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end setup of the new Biofuels and Vegetable Oils paper trading business line, including establishing institutional broker connections and clearing lines.Partner with internal risk and compliance teams to design and implement daily risk boundaries, maximum drawdown limits, and capital protection protocols.Manage and deploy the desk's proprietary trading allocations across major international exchanges, optimizing risk-adjusted returns within corporate boundaries.Formulate and execute financial spread strategies, including commodity calendar spreads, oilseed crush margins, and feedstock-to-energy relative value plays.Build and maintain internal balance sheets, trade-flow trackers, and weather models to identify mispriced risk in the global market.*responsibilities are truncated and non-exhaustive.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business, or other relevant discipline10 - 15 years of trading or portfolio management experience within global commodity merchant houses, macro hedge funds, or proprietary trading firms, with a focus on agricultural derivatives, oilseeds, or renewable energy productsProven history of generating strong risk-adjusted returns alongside verified experience establishing a trading desk or scaling a product line with minimal oversightDeep knowledge of the global agricultural sector (specifically oilseed complexes) and its pricing relationships with traditional energy and environmental compliance frameworksEntrepreneurial thinker with an analytical approach to trading strategies and a track record of building trusted networks across brokers, counterparties, and executive stakeholdersIf you are excited about this opportunity, apply NOW!Due to high volume of applications received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
