Biomedical Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, commission, and maintain biomedical and dental equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dental equipment, including dental chairs, X-ray units, autoclaves, compressors, suction systems, curing lights, and sterilization equipment.Diagnose equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out timely repairs to minimize downtime.Conduct routine inspections, calibration, safety testing, and performance verification of biomedical and dental devices.Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers for warranty claims, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and specialized repairs.Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment inventory, and asset documentation.Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements for biomedical equipment.Provide technical support and user training to clinical and dental staff on the proper operation and care of equipment.Assist in the procurement, evaluation, installation, and acceptance testing of new biomedical and dental equipment.Monitor equipment lifecycle, recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements based on performance and cost-effectiveness.Ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables required for maintenance activities.Collaborate with clinical departments to resolve equipment-related issues and support uninterrupted patient care.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.Participate in quality assurance programs, audits, and accreditation activities related to biomedical equipment management.Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and electrical safety standards while servicing medical and dental equipment.
