Responsibilities include installing, testing, and calibrating biomedical devices, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime. The role involves collaborating with clinical staff to understand equipment needs, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards, and documenting maintenance activities and technical reports. The Biomedical Engineer will also assist in evaluating new technologies, supporting equipment procurement decisions, and participating in training sessions for end users on proper operation and care of medical devices.Qualifications Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in healthcare environments.Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment and Equipment Maintenance, including installation, testing, calibration, and repair.Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance practices for biomedical systems, focusing on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; advanced certifications in clinical or biomedical engineering are an advantage.Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations (e.g., FDA, Joint Commission, IEC/ISO standards) and hospital safety protocols.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clinical, technical, and administrative teams.Organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple service requests, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
