The Biomedical Engineer will oversee installation, calibration, and routine testing of medical equipment used in clinical and academic settings. Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs with vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves supporting clinical teams by training staff on proper equipment usage, maintaining documentation and maintenance logs, and assisting with equipment planning, upgrades, and technology evaluation to improve patient care and teaching facilities.Qualifications Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in medical and academic environments.Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment and Equipment Maintenance, including installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair.Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance practices, equipment performance monitoring, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field; advanced certification in biomedical or clinical engineering is an advantage.Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, and maintain accurate maintenance records.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clinicians, technicians, vendors, and administrative teams.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks in a hospital or academic setting.Prior experience in a hospital, medical college, or healthcare facility is preferred.
