The organization emphasizes quality care, patient safety, and collaborative teamwork.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based at HCG Cancer Centre Mumbai. The role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, calibration, and routine operation of medical equipment used across the hospital. The Biomedical Engineer will perform regular equipment maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate repairs with vendors, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, maintaining accurate documentation and service records, supporting clinical teams in the safe use of devices, and participating in equipment evaluation and procurement. The individual will work closely with clinical engineering and hospital administration to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering skills, with a solid understanding of hospital workflows and patient safety requirements.Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable, continuous operation of critical medical devices.Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Equipment, including installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and compliance with relevant standards.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.Experience in a hospital or clinical setting, particularly oncology or critical care, is highly beneficial.Ability to interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and regulatory guidelines; familiarity with NABH or equivalent healthcare standards is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clinical, technical, and vendor teams.Willingness to work in rotating shifts or extended hours when required for equipment support and emergency repairs.
